On the first Saturday in May each year, participating comic book shops across North America and around the world give away comic books absolutely FREE to anyone who comes into their stores. This is a great way to bring those who may be unfamiliar with the comic book medium into the fold.
Here are three great places to find Fanbase Press on Free Comic Book Day:
Hi De Ho Comics - Santa Monica, CA
Fanbase Press co-founders Barbra and Bryant Dillon will be on hand all day (10 a.m. - 5 p.m.) at Hi De Ho Comics in Santa Monica, CA, with copies of their graphic novels and comics, including Quince, The Gamma Gals, Hero Hotel, Penguins vs. Possums, Something Animal, Identity Thief, and The Arcs! As a special treat, Fanbase Press will be selling the official Fanbase Press t-shirt in sizes Small - XXL AND the Fanbase pin, so that attendees may show their geek pride in style. Plus, don't miss your chance to pre-order a copy of Fanbase Press' upcoming fantasy graphic novel, The Margins, as well as our very first crafting book A Geek's Guide to Cross-Stitch: Journeys in Space!
*Be sure to stop by Hi De Ho Comics from 12 p.m. - 2 p.m. for your chance to meet The Margins' artist Amanda Donahue and to have her draw a FREE SKETCH for you!
The Comic Bug - The Comic Bug - Manhattan Beach, CA
Comic fans local to Manhattan Beach should also visit The Comic Bug's Free Comic Book Day festivities to meet Stefano Terry, creator/writer/artist of Fanbase Press' superhero comic book series, The Gamma Gals.
Earth-2 Comics - Sherman Oaks and Northridge, CA
