It's game night. You have friends over, dust off a board game you haven't played in quite a while, and sit there for half an hour trying to explain the rules. Perhaps you order food and some random lo mein falls onto your board, along with about a liter of cola. Well, that just ruined the game, and possibly the board itself. Being a board gamer has its trials and tribulations, just like Ace Attorney. But, what if that didn't ruin the night? What if some paper towels and a minute of cleaning puts you right back into the game?
This and many other reasons are a good indicator why it's worth your time to check out PlayTable.
PlayTable by Prizm Labs may just be the answer. Taking prototypes out to gaming cons (such as IndieCade), the response is very favorable. An electronic replacement for games you may already own or even better, if you don't own it, you'll be able to download a game, have it instruct players through tutorials if needed, and much more.
I had a chance to sit down with John Dempsey, Computer Engineer and much more for PlayTable. We go over a plethora of PlayTable information, including its specs. It's mind opening to find out what PlayTable can do as of right now and what may be in the future at their release.
Check out their website to get a taste of some video, specs, and more.
But before you do that, take a listen to my interview with John and hit me back with your thoughts. I'll be covering PlayTable more throughout the year. When I get information, you shall, too. So, take a listen.
You can thank me later.
