The Kickstarter Report: ‘How I Spent My Summer Invasion’ Graphic Novel

How I SPent My Summer Invasion GN

How I SPent My Summer Invasion GNFor those comic book readers in the market for high quality and entertaining all-ages comic books, today is your lucky day!  The talented folks at indie comic book publisher WE Comics are working diligently to create a trade paperback of their hit series, How I Spent My Summer Invasion, and they are calling for fans to contribute to their Kickstarter campaign.  The hilarious, all-ages comic book series “about three friends who discover a secret hotel for intergalactic alien travelers” will collect five issues into a 130-page, full-color graphic novel, which will undoubtedly delight readers young and old.

WE Comics released four issues of Summer Invasion over the past two years, and writer Patrick Rieger and artist Mark Sean Wilson have been hard at work on the last issue.  With the help of crowdfunding, WE Comics will be able to raise the funds for a print run of the graphic novel, which will include Issues #1-5 of the series, as well as fan pictures, games, activity pages, a new forward from the creators of We Comics, and a “How to Draw the Characters” section created by the Wilson.  The creators of the series self-published the first issue with their own funds, and they are hoping that fans will demonstrate their support by ensuring its continuation.

Be sure to visit How I Spent My Summer Invasion‘s Kickstarter page to support indie comics, and don’t forget to check out the backer rewards, which include digital downloads and signed copies of the grapic novel, Summer Invasion t-shirts, and the chance to work with the creators on your very own comic book!  You can also learn more about WE Comics by visiting their website at wecomics.com.  The campaign closes on Friday, July 26th, so be sure to donate soon!
