The Fanboy Comics crew attended San Diego Comic-Con’s Geek & Sundry: What’s Next with Felicia Day panel on Saturday evening, getting a sneak peek at all of the exciting new shows and upcoming partnerships on Felicia Day’s Geek & Sundry network.

The lineup of panelists included Day (The Guild, Supernatural), Ashley Johnson (Geek & Sundry’s Spooked, The Last of Us, The Avengers), Jesse Cox (OMFGCata), and Amy Dallen (Talkin’ Comics Weekly, House of Secrets), and it was introduced by fan favorite Wil Wheaton (TableTop).  The panel launched with a sizzle reel of Geek & Sundry’s upcoming lineup of shows, which includes TableTop: Season 3 (which was made possible by its phenomenal Kickstarter success – raising nearly $1.4 million), Spell Slingers, Spooked, Co-Optitude, Space Janitors, Morganville, the new show Omnibus by Amy Dallen, and more.  Wheaton hinted at a few TableTop spinoff shows that will be premiering in the coming year, two – in particular – that may be suited best for G&S fans with kids, as well as a more mature, “After Dark” version of the show, respectively.

Each panelist spoke extensively regarding their current and upcoming projects; however, the excitement was pleasantly interrupted by a surprise (and brief) visit from Buffy the Vampire Slayer alum Nicholas Brendon.  Actress Ashley Johnson highlighted her work on her first-ever webseries, Spooked, which is will be begin its second season, and vlogger and all-around comic book encyclopedia Dallen shared her passion for Omnibus, which will feature comic book fans, comedians, and celebrity geek guests (like Stan Lee and Hacktivist writers Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing) talking about all aspects of comic books and our love of them. 

Felicia and company left a generous amount of time for audience questions, which ranged from where they found their inspiration for new Geek & Sundry shows to which shoes Day brought to the convention.  Panelist Jesse Cox shared heartfelt encouragement to audience members who were seeking to create their own projects, letting them know that doing so is completely in their reach, as long as they are willing to work hard and put in the time necessary.

Overall, the Geek & Sundry panel illustrated not only the upcoming projects for the online network, but also the great sense of friendship and family that is alive and well with the creators involved.
