Dearest Walking Dead Fans:

With Season 5 having come to a close, I know that you must be in zombie withdrawal.  It can’t be easy for you, and I want you to know that I am here to help.  Thanks to the efforts of independent creators (and husband-and-wife team) Clint and Dawn Wolf, zombies will not be in short supply at the Zombie Ranch!  For the past five years, Clint (writer) and Dawn (artist) have been working on the web comic, Zombie Ranch, which tells the story of Susannah (“Suzie”) Zane, proud scion of a long line of Texas cattle ranchers.  Unfortunately for the Zane family, their bulls and cows came down with a bad case of being eaten alive during the Great Zombie Plague, but humanity pulled itself through the apocalypse.  On the upside, they created a whole new industry based around wrangling the living dead for profit!  For the first time ever, Dawn and Clint are hoping to collect the first seven chapters of this tale into a collected trade paperback, and they have launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise the necessary funds for its production.  Now, they need your help to make this dream a reality!

As the story of Zombie Ranch continues, the United States is divided between high-tech Safe Zones and the Wild Zones, where zombies and outlaws still roam free, and a powerful broadcast corporation has arranged to make a television show out of “the most dangerous job in America.”  Suzie and her crew of working-class ranchers live every day in the shadow of death, but people still have to make a living, and these brave souls do so with one foot squarely in the grave.

Clint and Dawn already have all of the content created for the trade paperback; however, as independent creators, they need assistance in raising the necessary capital to fund the print costs of the book.  They invite you to join them in celebrating five years of the web comic to shepherd its story to the printed page.
