Set in a dystopian version of the future, Chroma: Volume 1 is the story of astronaut Paul Pearce, whose mission to explore an emerging black hole that could change our world rewrites his own destiny when it bestows him with seemingly unlimited abilities. The 44-page space adventure will be presented in the style of epic science fiction films like Interstellar and Blade Runner. Full of spectacle and unforgettable characters, Paul's very human struggles find a mirror in this fantastic setting, and humanity finds a new hope in the darkest corner of the cosmos.

If successfully funded, the money raised would be devoted to the printing costs required for the project.  The first volume of Chroma is over halfway finished, presented in a unique “wide screen” format to convey the scope of a blockbuster film, painted with stunning detail by artist Michael Yakutis.

If you will be in the SoCal area this weekend, you can learn more about the series and meet creators Schulze and Perry who will be in attendance at Long Beach Comic Con.  The co-writers will appear on a panel entitled “Building a Better Blockbuster” on Sunday afternoon from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in Room 102 B/C, along with Craig Miller, who started his career as a publicist for the motion picture industry and Steven L. Wagner who is a writer-producer/editor at NBC Entertainment Marketing and Digital.  Tickets are still available for the convention!
