Fanbase Press Announces ‘Creator Forum’ Online Seminar for Indie Creators with ‘Writing for YA Fiction’ with Jason Inman and Ashley V. Robinson

Fanbase Press’ Creator Forum offers affordable, monthly online seminars geared towards independent creators from a variety of mediums. Part lecture and part discussion, Creator Forum seminars are accessible to various experience levels and provide direct access to a knowledgeable and responsive specialist. Fanbase Press invites you to develop and enhance your creative toolkit within a positive and supportive community from the comfort of your own home.

For its latest online seminar, Fanbase Press welcomes creators to join Jason Inman and Ashley V. Robinson for the “Writing for YA Fiction” Creator Forum on Sunday, September 20, at 1 p.m./PT.

Jason Inman is a Kansas farm boy who read too many comics and science fiction novels as a child. Luckily, he turned that into a career. His newest project is co-writing the follow-up to the Ringo-nominated Jupiter Jet comic series – Jupiter Jet and the Forgotten Radio for Action Lab Entertainment.  Jason is also the author of Super Soldiers, a non-fiction book about the secret connection between comic book characters and soldiers in the military that Dan Aykroyd called “vivid and entertaining.” His written work includes co-writing Science!: The Elements of Dark Energy graphic novel and a piece for the DC/IDW Love Is Love Anthology. Besides hosting the Geek History Lesson podcast, Jason was the host of DC All Access, DC Comics’ official web series, for over three years. On top of having written for several comics and entertainment websites, Jason has produced and written for web shows including Good Mythical Morning and Screen Junkies. Prior to becoming a writer, Jason served in the US Army and the Kansas Army National Guard, deploying as part of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Ashley Victoria Robinson is a Canadian hobbit now living in the United States. Her comic book writings have been published through DC Comics/IDW, Top Cow, Action Lab Comics, Not Forgotten Comics, and Colonial Comics. She is the host of the Geek History Lesson podcast (alongside Jason), any number of shows for the YouTube channels including: Jawiin, Nerd Alert, Crave Online, Geek Bomb, Collider, Screen Junkies, DC All-Access, Comicbook.com, Geek & Sundry, Hyper RPG, Major Spoilers, and many more. She is the co-creator of Jupiter Jet, Science! The Elements of Dark Energy, Aurora and the Eagle, and The Red Shirt Diaries and has been featured in several international commercial campaigns including Intel alongside The Big Bang Theory‘s Jim Parsons and is the current face of podcasting for Twitter Marketing. Follow her antics on Twitter & Instagram (@AshleyVRobinson).

In the “Writing for YA Fiction” Creator Forum, attendees will follow along as Inman and Robinson share their experience and knowledge to help demystify how to write for a young adult audience on the heels of their second Ringo Award nomination (this time for Science! The Elements of Dark Energy).

The “Writing for YA Fiction” Creator Forum will be an hour-long session which will take place via the Zoom online platform, and registration for the seminar will be $10.00 per attendee.
