‘Bloodworth’ to Augment Reality at New York Comic-Con 2015

A few weeks ago, Fanboy Comics was excited to announce that comic book creator Daniel Corey (Moriarty, Red City) would be releasing a new, digital-first one shot called Bloodworth through ComiXology.  The comic, a thriller about an FBI squad in the near future that can probe people’s memories to solve crimes, was written and created by Corey and illustrated by Chris Fenoglio (Red City, Orphan Black, Weird Kids).  With the comic now available online, Corey and his publishing company, DangerKatt, have new and exciting news to report, as a limited-edition print run of Bloodworth will be making its debut at New York Comic-Con this October!

The exclusive publication of Bloodworth has been limited to 50 copies, and Daniel Corey will be at Artist Alley Table Z14 for the entire convention (October 8-11, 2015), signing books and answering questions. These NYCC issues of Bloodworth will be enhanced with special Augmented Reality content. Android and iPhone users can download the free Layar app from Google Play or the App Store and scan the cover to view special video and interactive content in virtual space.

“It was just a natural that we’d offer BLOODWORTH with AR,” Corey said.   “The story that Chris Fenoglio and I are telling deals with a future in which people can upload and share memories, where the human mind meets the virtual hive mind.  Being able to link this book to a technology that is something of a precursor to that very exciting, and perhaps a bit thought-provoking.”
