Star Wars: Darth Maul—Death Sentence #1 – Advance Comic Review

SW Darth Maul Death Sentence 1The Phantom Menace is inarguably the worst movie in the Star Wars series.  So, it was odd that Darth Maul, one of the few enjoyable factors of that movie, was killed off and would not fight another day . . . or so we thought.

Star Wars: Darth Maul – Death Sentence
follows Darth Maul after being rescued from the events of the movie.  Much like the audience, Darth Maul was extremely wounded and utterly defeated after The Phantom Menace, but his rage kept him alive, which I will admit is kind of a cop-out, but at least they did not try to explain it by talking about Midichlorians.

Armed with new robotic legs and with the help of his brother, Savage Opress, he seeks revenge against Obi-Wan Kenobi and the Jedi Order, and hunts down the man who put a bounty on their heads.

The first issue in this series is a fun, action comic that reminds us that Sith Lords make being a bada– cool.
