In Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Issue #39, we discover the aftermath of Rocksteady and BeBop. Meanwhile, Donatello tries to fix up his scientist friend, Harold's robot turtle, Metalhead. Although not much action occurs between our baddie duo and the Turtles themselves, writers Kevin Eastman, Bobby Curnow, and Tom Waltz keep us fully involved in the story with their wit and humor. Kudos to Mateus Santolouco and Ronda Pattison, as well, for their beautiful artwork and colors. Despite how strong ourTurtles may be, I sometimes forget they're still teenagers. But, the cartoon-esque drawings of our pizza-loving heroes remind me of how young our Turtles really are.

Despite the fact that this issue in the ongoing TMNT series was mostly explicative, I still believe it is a must read for any true Turtle fan. I mean, Rocksteady and Bebop are back . . . HELLO!? But, will our Turtles be able to save the day from Shredder's two strongest cronies!?
