The human race is on the edge of being obliterated by Thomas Parnell and his army of Terminators after he has taken control over most of Skynet. Fortunately or unfortunately, he’s willing to leave a few humans alive for amusement. Knowing that the end is near, John Connor decides to join with his enemy by becoming his enemy. With the help of Dr. Kogan, Connor clones his consciousness into a T-Unit in order to be on par with Parnell. This leaves his human body vulnerable, and, if Dr. Kogan is correct, if his physical body is killed, he dies permanently. Will Connor survive this ultimate battle or not?
Mr. Stracynski has given us a hero to be proud of in this penultimate installment of the series. There is no doubt that we admire and root for this guy. But, once again, I still don’t know why anyone would follow him into battle other than the fact that he was essentially pre-ordained to be the leader of humanity. Parnell is a great villain, and I wish we could see more of him. The art rocks and I love how the paneling moves the story along. It’s simple, yet very effective.
Still, I’m a fan and any fan would enjoy this series. I look forward to the last installment.
