‘Enter the Janitor:’ Book Review

Enter the Janitor is a unique and cleverly written book about the secret, semi-Men in Black-style organization that keeps things clean, both literally and figuratively. And, keeping things clean is a messy business sometimes. Just ask Ben, the Janitor. He doesn’t just mop floors and clean windows. It’s his job to protect the world from Scum and Corruption, which lurk just beneath the world we think we know.

When a job starts to go wrong, he meets Dani, a bright college student and hyper-sensitive germaphobe. Unbeknownst to her, she also has special powers over the forces of nature, which make her an ideal candidate to join Ben and the rest of the team in fighting the clean fight.

Parts of this story seem familiar, but they’re told in an interesting and fun way that makes it worth the read. Other parts are bizarre, funny, exciting, and just a bit weird, all of which combine to make it a winner in my book. If you like odd and offbeat supernatural fantasy, you’ll probably enjoy Enter the Janitor.
