SW 2Dark Horse brings out the big guns for its new Star Wars series. Writer Brian Wood, who seems to be writing every top notch book these days, helms the ship. Legendary artist Alex Ross delivers covers that rival even the classic Star Wars movie posters, while artist Carlos D’Anda and colorist Gabe Eltaeb capture the look and feel of the iconic universe. This isn’t just some Star Wars spinoff set in the distant past or far-flung future of the extended universe. This is a story set in between Episodes IV and V. Even better, this is a story featuring Han, Luke, and Leia with real stakes affecting the fledgling Rebellion.

My Dearest Previews Magazine,

As a comic book fan, I go to my local comic shop every week. I am always excited for my weekly pilgrimage, but once a month there is something that makes me even more intrigued to visit my temple of modern gods. Every week, I get the latest serials of my favorite characters, but once a month I get to take home the true bible of comics, Previews Magazine. A monthly, 500-page tome that grants me a glimpse into the future of comics. Previews Magazine, don't tell my wife, but you are my true love. Some say you are just a marketing tool designed to let store owners know what the big companies are offering, but I know your true worth.

Pantalones TXShaloha, readers! Jason Enright, here!  I recently caught up with comic creator/animator/man-of-many-talents Yehudi Mercado to discuss his new Archaia graphic novel, Pantalones, TX: Don’t Chicken Out. Here’s what he had to say about his hilarious, new book.

This interview was conducted on January 29, 2013.

Princeless 1As a recently married young man who knows his daughters will be as opinionated and vocal as his wonderful wife, I keep a short list of things I want to share with those future daughters. This is a list of books and movies that will inspire them and guide them to be who they want to be and never fear bullying or retribution for their choices. At the top of this list is a new comic book called Princeless.

Star Wars LegacyWelcome to The Previews Party. I hope that you found my previous articles about how to pre-order your comics and the importance of pre-ordering helpful. Now, we're going to get into the meaty goodness of pre-ordering. Today, we'll be looking at January's Previews magazine to see which new books are coming our way. The Jedi Path eBook useLet me just start this off by saying that this is one of the coolest books I've ever seen. As a Star Wars fan, this book is a joy to behold. The Jedi Path is designed to be an artifact of a forgotten age of the Star Wars universe. It is a textbook written for use at the Jedi Academy during the time when Yoda was a youngling just starting his training. It was then passed down to one of Yoda's students, who then passed it on to his padawan, Count Dooku, who passed it on to Qui-Gon Jinn. Qui-Gon gave it to Obi-Wan, who gave it to Anakin, who gave it to Ahsoka Tanno. At some point, the book fell into the hands of Darth Sidious and was eventually recovered by Luke Skywalker. All of these Jedi have added their thoughts to the text, which adds a personal connection to the book.
