This year, Fanbase Press had the pleasure of returning to the convention floor and red carpets of Comic-Con. Conducting interviews while wearing a KN95 mask is a new experience, but it seems like most managed to have a safe and health con. Below are this year’s interviews with several authors of the Alien franchise, the cast of DC Animated’s Green Lanter: Beware My Power, the cast and crew of the Paper Girls TV series, notable comic book talent at the show, and more.

Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards Coverage

Fanbase Press makes it an annual event to cover the lead-up and award ceremony for the Eisner Awards given their positive impact, their importance to the comic book industry, and Fanbase Press’ own mission to “Celebrate Fandoms.”

This year, we at Fanbase Press were honored to have the company named as a 2022 Eisner Award nominee in the “Best Comics-Related Periodical/Journalism” category. While the award, ultimately, went to the very deserving WomenWriteAboutComics.com, the nomination itself continues to be a point of pride and humbling recognition.

Fanbase Press’ annual “Countdown to the Eisners” series continues this year, with its goal to familiarize the public with that current year’s nominations. This year, Fanbase Press released three exclusive videos during the lead-up to the announcement of the winners. These videos feature well-versed members of the comic book industry sharing their thoughts on this year’s nominations, why the Eisner Awards are important to the comics industry, stand-out categories, and what they’d like to see in the future from the Eisners.
