#CrowdfundingFridays: ‘Boston Metaphysical Society – Vol. 2,’ ‘Battle Grapple: Rebel,’ and ‘Godzilla & Kong: The Cinematic Storyboard Art of Richard Bennett’

Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! Project #1: Boston Metaphysical Society – Vol. 2

What it’s about: If you are new to the series, the original six-issue mini-series (Volume 1) is about an ex-Pinkerton detective, a spirit photographer, and a genius scientist who battle supernatural forces in late 1800’s Boston. They live in an alternate steampunk history where ghosts and demons are a normal part of life. Families known as the Great Houses control the economy of the Great States of America while the middle class and lower classes sole purpose are to serve the Great Houses. Boston Metaphysical Society needs your help to print Volume Two, compiling The Scourge of the Mechanical Men, The Spirit of Rebellion, Ghosts and Demons, and The Book of Demons, PLUS an EXCLUSIVE TEN-PAGE STORY with art by Roberta Ingranata (Dr. Who) into a huge, 176-page trade paperback.

Project #2: Battle Grapple: Rebel

What it’s about
: Battle Grapple: Rebel is the story of how one man, just trying to follow his dream, can spark a revolution! In the far future, humanity has an expanded to the distant stars and planets and the most popular form of entertainment is the BATTLE GRAPPLE. We follow an aspiring new grappler, Spin Kilter, fresh from his training at the famous Coach Moonah’s Gym and trying to make a name for himself as an indie grappler. Spin has dreams of making it to the big show, but first he has to pay his dues, deal with his cocky rival, Stellar Debrii, and convince his parents to believe in him–all while the stability of the Human Confederation seems to be on shaky ground.

Project #3: Godzilla & Kong: The Cinematic Storyboard Art of Richard Bennett

What it’s about
: Richard J. Bennett is one of the most respected storyboard artists working today, having worked with top directors like David Fincher, Christopher Nolan, Brad Bird, and JJ Abrams, among others. This new book showcases his storyboard storytelling with two of the biggest stars in the history of cinema. Godzilla & Kong: The Cinematic Storyboard Art of Richard Bennett features storyboard art from the blockbuster hits Godzilla vs. Kong, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, and Kong: Skull Island.
