#CrowdfundingFridays: ‘Exilium: Season 2,’ ‘The Complete Frank at Home on the Farm Oversized Hardcover,’ and ‘Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology’

Here at Fanbase Press, we strive to provide an outlet for up-and-coming creators to promote and showcase their incredible works. With thousands of creators utilizing crowdfunding platforms like Kickstarter and Indiegogo to make those works a reality, we will highlight these talented creators and their noteworthy campaigns through #CrowfundingFridays! We hope that you will join us in giving these projects a moment of your time (and possibly your support)!

Project #1: Exilium: Season 2 and Exilium Vangaurd

What it’s about: Exilium is a sci-fi action series taking place in the late 21st century that is returning for its second season following a highly successful six-issue first season (which, if you missed it, is available as part of this campaign), as well as a new spin-off series, Exilium: Vanguard. The first series saw the first official contact having been made with an advanced, extraterrestrial race. On the run from a superior force, they sought refuge on Earth, deeply dividing humanity. Unknowingly leading their oppressors to Earth, the aliens along with the human faction they had allied themselves with struggled to mount an effective defence. Humanity’s only hope rested with a mysterious group known as the Exilium, where a shocking truth awaited, leaving the heroic trio of Nia, Tr’u and Ken, and indeed all of Earth in absolutely dire straits. The second series continues right where we left off in season one and is sure to be another wild ride as the trio of Nia, Tr’u and Ken are called upon in aid of the very foe they had spent most of their lives fighting against.

Project #2: The Complete Frank at Home on the Farm Oversized Hardcover

What it’s about
: Frank at Home on the Farm tells the story of a man returning from war to find his family mysteriously missing from their farm. This sets in motion a series of events that claw and tear at Frank’s mind, body, and soul. Tormented by nightmares of the front line, the mysterious voices that plague him and disturbed by the townsfolk’s lack of knowledge or interest in his family’s whereabouts, Frank becomes more and more isolated on the farm as he tries to uncover where his parents have vanished to… all under the watchful eye of the farm’s animals. Combining the isolationist horror of The Shining with the body-horror of David Cronenberg and Jacob’s Ladder, the story twists and turns right the way to the end. With every flip of the page, you’ll find yourself pulled further into Frank’s nightmare – imagine Guillermo Del Toro directing an adaption of Animal Farm.

All four issues will be together in a stunning oversized hardcover edition plus a ton of extras, including series artist Clark Bint’s early design work for the series, all the pinups we commissioned from other incredible artists for the previous Kickstarter campaigns, and much more bringing the book up to over 150 pages in total. This will all be enveloped in a gorgeous wraparound cover by Clark Bint created specially for this collection.

Project #3: Bi Visibility: A Bisexual Anthology

What it’s about
: A 44-page comic book anthology ranging from romance to high fantasy about the bisexual experience. Featuring nine different stories from 20 creators, Bi Visibility explores bisexuality from many different perspectives. Says editor Kat Calamia: “As a bisexual creator myself, this is one of the most important projects I’ve ever worked on and a subject near and dear to my heart. Growing up, I had very little bisexual representation. I knew the label existed, but I didn’t know what it looked like, how it felt, or that I could be bisexual. This was the driving force towards putting together this anthology. Representation matters!”
