Sophia Grace and Rosie: Don’t Believe the Hype Girl!

Sophia Grace MTLet me here you say boom da boom boom da boom da bay-bee . . .

When one thinks of a beautiful, round-faced British singer with a booming voice, one wouldn’t be too far off to guess that one may be referring to Adele; however, the cherubic, little songstress I’m here to discuss is Sophia Grace.

Perhaps you know her better as one half of the “Nicki Minaj Girls” that took YouTube by storm with their super infectious cover of Minaj’s biggest hit to date, “Super Bass.”

Sophia Grace is a boisterous, infectious 8 year old force of  nature to be reckoned with.

Don’t believe the Hype Girl.

Where Sophia Grace goes, her adorable, yet demure, six-year-old cousin, Rosie, is sure to follow.  Rosie is more relaxed and doesn’t sing as much, but she acts as Sophia Grace’s “Hype Girl” and confidence instiller.

Quickly going viral, the delightful duo caught the eye of Ellen DeGeneres.  She has frequently had the girls as guests on her show and put them to work as representatives on the red carpet at several awards shows.

When the girls get to meet their favorite celebrities, nothing can match the unbridled joy and enthusiasm the star-struck girls project.

The 10th season of The Ellen DeGeneres Show features a new segment called “Tea Time with Sophia Grace and Rosie”, where the adorable twosome have tea and conversation with popular celebrities while wearing tutus, natch.

From their infectious energy to their firm belief that they can fly and even turn into mermaids, these girls need their own comic book! (Hey, Ellen, give me a call!)

Check out Sophia Grace and Rosie on Ellen and YouTube!

P.S. My boyfriend still wants tickets to the show.

Michael Troy is a deeply superficial person. Born in the midwest in the ’70s, Michael came to Los Angeles to pursue his bi-polar career path as an actor and artist. 2005 saw the release of Michael’s first published book, Homo-Hero’s Big Book of Fun and Adventure (www.greencandypress.com). Michael has contributed to the Lady Gaga comic book from Bluewater Productions and has his hand in various other upcoming projects. Michael has performed stand-up comedy at all of the major comedy clubs in Los Angeles and is making his triumphant return to the main stage of The Comedy Store in September. Michael offers an off-beat sense of humor as the star of such youtube cult classics As The Gays on Film (www.youtube.com/fullfrontaltv), A Minute With Margot, a loving tribute to Superman legend Margot Kidder (http://www.youtube.com/user/rktcommander), and currently hosts a vlog style series Lethally Blonde over at www.monsterburg.com. Sitting alongside industry heavyweight Phil Jimenez at the “Divas and Lassoes” panel for the 2010 San Diego comic-con, Michael maintains and cherishes his “underground” status. A staunch believer in Blonde Ambition, Michael hopes his new comic about shallow blonde super heroes in Los Angeles, The Blonde Squad, will set the world on fire (or at least brighten it a bit). Check out Michael Troy and Lethally Blonde updates here!!!
