Fanbase Press Interviews Michelle Jensen on Espionage Cosmetics’ ‘Level Up: Be a Nerd Boss’ Panel and Meet-Up at SDCC 2018

The following is an interview with Michelle Jensen regarding the upcoming Level Up: Be a Nerd Boss panel and meet-up at San Diego Comic-Con 2018. In this interview, Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief Barbra Dillon chats with Jensen about the talented panelists and moderator involved with the panel, what attendees can anticipate from the meet-up, and more!

Barbra Dillon, Fanbase Press Editor-in-Chief: Espionage Cosmetics will be hosting the “Level Up: Be a Nerd Boss” panel at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.  What can you share with us about the concept of the panel, and what can attendees anticipate from the event?

Michelle Jensen: It’s all about community. We’re very supportive of other nerdy brands and always have been. We’ve gathered together some of the most successful nerdy business professionals we know for this panel. Combined, we’ll be able to share some comprehensive wisdom to help others who are interested in starting and/or maintaining their very own businesses. Sharing tips and tricks on finding success in the growing nerd industry. We’ll touch on marketing, licensing, sales, and all of those pot holes to watch out for along the way! We want to help others navigate the geek business waters.

BD: Who are the the panelists slated to participate in the conversation?

MJ: Jaimie Cordero (Espionage Cosmetics CEO), Allison Cimino (RockLove Jewelry), Jazzlyn Stone (Bombsheller), and Jordan Ellis (The Sartorial Geek) will combine their forces, skills, and life hacks as successful, nerdy business professionals to share their wisdom with fellow nerds interested in starting and/or maintaining their business.

Moderated by Mandie Roman (Geeky Glamorous).

BD: In addition to the “Be a Nerd Boss” panel, Espionage Cosmetics will be hosting a networking event following the panel.  Who is able to attend this event, and what are you most looking forward to about the event?

MJ: Everyone is invited to attend. No badge is needed! We actually came up with the idea because last time we had a SDCC panel, we would up in the panel room for over an hour afterwards talking with everyone. So, we figured we’d make it a special event this time around and really spend some quality time with everyone. We’re looking forward to connecting brands, networking, and just meeting some amazing people!

BD: Will Espionage have a table on the convention floor where attendees will be able to find you?

MJ: Not this year, but we do have a growing list of places we’ll be at which can be found on our Facebook page.

BD: Are there any other projects or upcoming events that Espionage Cosmetics has in the works that you are able to share with our readers?

MJ: We’re planning on heading to NYCC and L.A. Comic Con. We’re currently working on Lip Paints! While our Lip Blushes are very sheer and are more about a quick and easy swipe of nourishment, the Lip Paints will be more about full-on color. We want them to be used in various applications, from the obvious long lasting lip color, to colored brows, cosplay, etc. The packaging will also be very unique and something that is in the works! Our cartridge compacts will be coming out soon.  We just released some news on what that’ll entail and we’re very excited to have them come out.

Glitter will also be making a comeback, going beyond our Galactic Glitters. Our cosmetics glitters were one of our signature products, so we are working on bringing them back in a new upgraded form.

BD: Lastly, what is the best way for readers to learn more about Espionage Cosmetics and to find you at SDCC 2018?

MJ: Our website is the best place and, of course, our social media outlets. We’ll be updating where we’ll be at SDCC, but the best list is the Facebook event page.
